Professor Kishor Wasan

When you see a urologist for the first time, it's the start of an important journey. The doctor will look at your genital and pelvic areas and try to figure out what's wrong. If you are ready, your trip will go more smoothly. During a pelvic exam, a doctor or nurse will look at both the inside and outside of the genitalia. The ovaries, uterus, rectum, penis, testicles, epididymis, vulva, cervix, and urethra are all part of the reproductive system.

To start a pelvic exam, you have to take off all of your clothes. The doctor will then put on gloves and look at your genitalia. You might be asked to go to the bathroom before the test starts.

Before you get a pelvic exam, you should tell your doctor about any health problems or symptoms you may be having. For instance, you might be feeling tired or have pain in your buttocks. Also, if you use birth control, it's a good idea to let your doctor know.

Pelvic exams can be scary, but they can also show problems with your reproductive system. They can help your doctor find abnormalities, cysts, sexually transmitted diseases, and cancer. If this is your first pelvic exam, ask your provider what to expect.

There are a few common ways to check the pelvic area. For the digital rectal exam, a gloved finger is put into the rectum. For the Pap smear, which is another type, cells are taken from the cervix.

Most of the time, these exams are done to check for problems, so they are usually done at regular times. They can be annoying, but most of the time they are not painful.

When you go to a urologist for the first time, you should be ready for them to tell you what's wrong. Your doctor may check your bladder and kidneys with a physical exam, a digital rectal exam, or other diagnostic tests. With these tests, your urologist will be able to figure out what you need to do to improve your health.

During your visit to the urologist, the most basic test that will be done is a physical exam. This kind of test is done in the office of your doctor. The urologist will check your penis, bladder, and prostate.
